Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass). Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended.

Icelandic Pagan Black Metal. This is unbelievably good - seriously! I just bought the entire discography for this band & I keep coming back to every single one of their albums. They are all on another level! The instrumentals & the atmospheres are just amazing. Plus those vocals, clean or non or any other variation, are perfect each & every time! No faves & highly recommended!!!

Icelandic Black Metal really is very special! The instruments, the atmospheres & the vocals here are simply stunning! I completely agree with YomaBarr, you need to make the time & listen to the entirety of the songs! The rewards are massive! Highly recommended!!!
